Frederick C Hamilton Building:

Frederick C. Hamilton was designed by architect Daniel Liebeskind, and the design actually resembles the beautiful peaks of the Rocky Mountains, and of all kinds of geometric rock formations so specific to Denver’s geology. Then, the entire building was covered by huge titanium panels, which according to the designer himself, “reflect the Colorado sunshine”.

4. Denver Art Museum – Denver, USA:

building of this beautiful museum started as early as 1948 when designer Burnham Hoyt, (after a huge restorative process) designed the structure which was known as the Schleier Gallery.

Throughout the years, several expansions have been made to the original buildings, since the museum needed more and more space to accommodate its treasures. Two of the most famous additions are the Frederick C. Hamilton Building and the North Building.

NATA REGISTRATION PROCESS

NATA Registration Process 2012 :
Approach the Test Center located at college / school of Architecture at a location convenient to the candidate with the filled up form and the documents listed below. 

Documents required for NATA Registration 2012 :

• Std. X or equivalent exam marklist – attested copy.
• One recent passport size colour photograph, to be pasted on the NATA Registration Form.
• Any valid document of identification bearing photograph and signature of the candidate – attested copy.
• Valid email address. ( In case you do not possess one, we suggest you to open email account on one of the free service providers such as yahoo, hotmail, rediffmail, gmail, etc. Please do not reveal your password to any one ).

The Appointment voucher :

• On successful NATA registration and granting of appointment, an Appointment voucher is issued to the candidate by the NATA Test center.
• The candidate at the time of NATA Registration shall ensure that correct data is entered by the Test Centre employee. The candidate should check it carefully to make sure the Name, identifying information and address are correct and are spelt correctly before going to step 2 of registration and also on receiving the appointment voucher.
• Once registered, no corrections are possible. Candidate will have to purchase fresh NATA Registration Form and get registered again.
• The Appointment voucher also shows Candidate ID, Appointment Number and Exam Key. The Appointment Number and Exam Key are used by the candidate to log in at the time of the test.
• There are two counterfoils on the appointment voucher. The applicant has to sign the counterfoil in presence of the Hall supervisor at the time of the test, and hand over the same to him / her.
• Please do not sign the counterfoil in advance. Sign the counterfoil only when the hall supervisor asks you to. If the hall supervisor finds the counterfoil already signed he may disallow the candidate to proceed with the test and his candidature will get forfeited.
• The candidate will be required to sign the Test Center attendance register before and after the test session and any time the candidate leaves or enter the testing room.
• Insist on appointment voucher to be handed over to you. In case any test centre refuses issuing of appointment voucher or asks for any additional fees or puts in conditions of any sort, please report to Council of Architecture or its academic unit NIASA immediately on the email “support@nata.in”.

Important Things to Remember When Registering :

• Register well in advance. During the peak NATA admission season Test Centers fill up quickly.
• Take the test as soon as possible to ensure that the candidate’s score card / Mark list will be ready in time to be submitted at the time of applying for admission.
• When NATA registering, be sure that the spelling of the candidate’s name matches the name printed on the identification document  the candidate will present at the NATA Test Center. If this information does not match, the candidate will not be permitted to appear in test and his / her test fee will be forfeited. See Identification Requirements .
• Information regarding Test Center availability is subject to change. The most current information regarding NATA Test Centers and other registration information is available on the NATA website http://www.nata.in.

THE OVER ALL EFFECT OF THE BUILDING IS MESMERIZING :COLORFUL AND TRANSLUCENT GLASS PANELS,WITH A JOYOUS OUTLOOK,LUXURY AND OPULENCE - ALL THESE COMBINATIONS HAVE RESULTED IN A WONDERFUL WORK OF ART.


THE BUILDING WAS DESIGNED BY NEUTELINGS RIEDIJK ARCHITECTS,AND IT HAS FIVE LEVELS UNDERGROUND AND JUST AS MANY ABOVE THE GROUND .THE UNDERGROUND LEVELS CONTAIN THE ARCHIVE FILES AND MATERIALS WHILE WITHINTHE ABOVE LEVELS THERE IS THE MEDIA MUSEUM OPEN TO THE VISITORS .

THE GLASS PANELS ON THE FACADE FEATURE A COLLAGE OF EXTREMELY FAMOUS PICTURES AND STILLS FROM THE DUTCH MOVIES AND TELEVISION.

MILWAUKEE ART MUSEUM - LAKE MICHIGAN,MILWAUKEE-WISCONSIN:
THE MILWAUKEE ART MUSEUM IS A WONDERFUL LANDMARK,WHICH IS COMPROMISED BY THREE MAIN PARTS:THE WAR MEMORIAL CENTER,THE QUADRACCI PAVILION AND THE CUDAHY GARDENS.


THE MUSEUM WAS DESIGNATED BY THE OUTSTANDING ARCHITECTS,NAMELY SANTIAGO CALATRAVA,DAVID KAHLER AND EERO SAARINEN.OUT OF THE THREE COMPONENT PARTS,THE QUADRACCI PAVILION IS THE MOST VISUALLY IMPRESSING,BUILT IN THE POSTMODERN ARCHITECTURAL STYLE,ACCORDING TO THE PLANS OF CALATRAVA.

THE WINDHOVER HALL IS THE MAIN ATTRACTION OF THE STRUCTURE,AND IT HAS GLASS CEILING WHICH IS 9O FEET IN HEIGHT .THE PAVILION LIES IN WATER ,AND IT IS CONNECTED TO MAINLAND THROUGH A WONDERFUL SUSPENSION BRIDGE.

Beautiful buildings can certainly inspire, with people willing to travel thousands of miles to discover the masterpieces of famous architects.

Whilst some architects like to adhere to the traditional lines and trends in the field of architecture, others simply love to experiment and leave a personal trace throughout their creations.

By allowing their creativeness and passion to flow freely, architects have been able to create wonderful structures that bring in front of people edifices that inspire awe and true admiration.

The Infosys Headquarters in Pune, India is a beautiful high-tech building. The entire structure actually looks like a descending spacecraft, and this illusion is mainly created by its shape technology: an ellipsoid structure with a tilted angle at approximately 10 degrees.

The building was the first occupant of the IT Park called “Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park”. Within this park, there are currently approximately 20 software company headquarters, among others names like Mindtree, Tata Technologies, Tech Machindra and CISCO.

The Infosys building definitely stands out from all the others, and it is dubbed as being one of the most innovative and beautifully designed structures in Pune area. The giant “spaceship” style futuristic building was constructed based on the designs of architect Hafeez Contractor, a highly respected Indian architect known lately for his involvement in “green” architecture designs.

The Infosys building has 5 stories and it is made of a combination of steel, glass and aluminum.

IS CONDUCTED BY COUNCIL OF ARCHITECTURE FOR ADMISSION INTO BACHELOR OF ARCHITECTURE(B.ARCH) COURSE TO ALL RECOGNIZED INTITUTION ALL OVER THE COUNTRY,COMMENCING IN THE SESSION 2012-13.


EXAM PATTERN:
NATA MEASURES APTITUDE OF THE APPLICANT  FOR SPECIFIC FIELD OF ARCHITECTURE .THE TEST MEASURES THE DRAWING AND OBSERVATION SKILLS ,SENSE OF PROPORTION ,AESTHETIC SENSITIVITY AND CITICAL THINKING ABILITY ,THAT HAVE BEEN ACQUIRED OVER A LONG PERIOD OF TIME ,AND THAT ARE RELATED SPECIFIC FIELD OF STUDY ,I.E.ARCHITECTURE.


ELIGIBILITY:
CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE PASSED 10+2 EXAMINATION IN SCIENCE DISCIPLINE WITH 5O% MARKS  FROM A RECOGNIZED BOARD OF EXAMINATION.

NATA 2012 Dates

These are important dates for National Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA) 2012

• NATA Exam Date
  tests will commence from 1st April 2012.
• Induction of Test centers will begin after
  3rd week of March 2012.

• Appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
• The candidate may take NATA any number of times subject to availability of appointment at the Test Centers.
• However, full fees will have to be paid for every new attempt. Register well in advance to get preffered test date.

ABOUT NATA` EXAM

NATA...national aptitude test in architecture,starts in the month of march and runs till september.

Registration forms will be available both online and offline.nata resigestrations forms cannot be submitted online,but you need to visit your nearest b.arch college(nata conducting college) and submit the form ,you even need to choose a convenient date for you ,to give  the exam.nata exam will be for 200 marks(i.e, 100 marks for drawing part,100 marks for aptitude part).

note:

aptitude part will be online based exam.(40 choose and fill type questions,each question will be given  50 to 60 seconds of time).

well,when it comes to drawing part,you will have to answer 3 questions,first question will be for 50 marks and rest two questions will be for 25 each.
